Srinagar/Nov,26: Militants on Sunday attacked the house of senior Congress leader Imtiyaz Ahmad Parrey in Hajin locality of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Sources said that militants lobbed a grenade and fired around 10 rounds towards the house of Imtiyaz Parrey, who is son of notorious Ikhwan commander Kuka Parrey and Bandipora district president of Congress party.
They said that the grenade was hurled from back side of the house, but it exploded outside.
“The CRPF guarding the house also fired few shots in retaliation,” they said.
However, there was no loss of life.
A police official said that there are some bullet marks on the back side of the house. “We are ascertaining the facts,” he added.
