Tral/Nov,21: Thousands of people Tuesday morning participated funeral prayers of Hizb ul Mujahideen militant killed in a gunfight with forces in Tral area of Pulwama district Monday this week.
Adil Rashid Chopan, who was killed in a gunfight in Seer village of Tral township, was laid to rest at the martyrs’ graveyard in Lurow where thousands of people attended his funeral prayers.
Emotional scenes were witnessed as the body of Chopan (17) was marched towards the graveyard. Women were seen beating their chest while men raised pro-freedom slogans.
Chopan was rescued by locals during a gunfight in which Hizb commander Sabzar Bhat and his associate Faizan Bhat were killed in Saimoh, Tral in May this year.
