Srinagar: Director Food, Civil, Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department, Nisar Ahmad Wani Monday said there is no shortage of flour and sugar at the Department’s sale centres in Kashmir as was reported by a section of print media.
He said the Department is making its best efforts to ensure the availability of food grains in every nook and corner of the Valley.
“Food grains including rice, atta, sugar and Kerosene oil is distributed among bonafide rationees and beneficiaries on monthly basis well in advance and in case of any delay at any level which comes to our notice is immediately taken into consideration for its earlier redressal,” the Director said.
The Director said adequate quantity of ration, fuel and other essentials have been dumped at remotest areas of the Division which are expected to last till May 2018.
