Jammu: Vice Chairman, Handlooms and Handicrafts Development Corporations, Nizam-ud-Din Bhat called on Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here Saturday and apprised her about the working of these Corporations.
The Chief Minister desired to get handicrafts and handloom sectors in the State fully revised for which she assured him all support. She specifically asked for devising schemes aimed at the welfare and prosperity of the artisan community to attract young talent in the sector.
Bhat informed the Chief Minister that the two corporations have improved sales through better quality control, management and marketing. He said incentives are being worked out to reach out to artisans which will help in the growth of art and craft in the State.
