Srinagar: A complete shutdown was observed for the third consecutive day in Palhalan Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district against the killing of a local militant.
Ashiq Ahmed Bhat, a Hizb militant along with his associate Toib Majid was killed during a brief encounter in Zachildara Handwara on Monday evening.
Reports said that all the shops and business establishments remained shut while traffic also remained off the roads.
A police official said that situation remained peaceful throughout the day.
