Jammu: Speaker Legislative Assembly and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta, Friday inaugurated newly constructed examination hall at Government Girls High School, Bhour Camp Chatha.
Constructed with a cost of Rs 22 lakh, the examination hall would also be utilized for co-curricular events, workshops and other education oriented activities.
While speaking on the occasion, the Speaker said government is committed to provide better education facilities and up-graded school infrastructure in the state. In this regard, he highlighted various innovative measures being initiated by the present dispensation.
The Speaker said teachers should work hard in imparting the knowledge, skills and inquisitive attitude among the students.
The Speaker asked the school authorities to make arrangements for special classes for different standards to enhance the capacity and general knowledge of the students.
Later, a local deputation met the Speaker and apprised him of their issues seeking an early redressal to the same.
The Speaker assured them that all their issues would be looked into for redressal in a time bound manner.
The Speaker was accompanied by senior officers of PWD and other departments.
