Geelani expresses shock over the fire incident of Khanqah Mouls

Srinagar: APHC chairman, Syed Ali Geelani expressed his deep shock and grief over the fire incident of Khanqah -e- Moula and the damage caused to the spire of revered shrine.
Meanwhile on his direction, a delegation comprising of gen secretary Gh Nabi Sumji, Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah, Mohd Yusuf Naqash, Davinder Singh Behel, Bilal Sidiqee, Mohd Yasin Ataie, Hakim Ab Rashid, Molvi Bashir Ahmad and Gulshan Abbas were deputed to assess the damage caused to the revered shrine in the previous night’s fire incident and discussed about immediate steps for its repairs.
The statement said that Syed Ali Geelani could not visit the revered shrine because of his continuous detention since last seven years.
Syed Ali Geelani while expressing his deep concern and reservations regarding the mysterious fire incident of revered shrine of Khanqah-e-Ameer Kabir, saying that our nation is insecure in the hands of these puppet and cruel authorities and added that apart from historical heritage and revered shrines, our cultural, civilization, religion and dignity is at stake. We must protect and safeguard them at any cost,” Geelani said.
Appealing oppressed nation, Syed Ali Geelani cautioned about the folly and deceitful tactics of Indian authorities and added that Hazrat Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (R.A), the great saintly reformer and Islamic scholar is founder of Islam in state and his contributions as a writer, scholar, philosopher and poet are huge and immense.
We are indebted to his great and scholarly work that he was the only preacher of Islam in Jammu & Kashmir and who brought a change in life styles of Kashmiri masses and imparted to them Islamic values. He preached Islam and affected the conversion of thousands of peoples.
Syed Ali Geelani said that we are dutybound to follow Islamic standards in our individual and collective life and we need pursue freedom mission to get ride from this slavery.
Geelani while quoting the saying of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). ’ I am leaving behind two things the Book of Allah and the Sunnah’” and terming the mission of Ameer Kabir the most divinely, added that he is the practical example of this hadith and we need to follow his sacred mission in letter and spirit.
Hurriyat leader expressed his hope that the freedom loving will remain be careful about the issues related to the matters and responsibilities of these revered shrines and remain cautious from anti movement elements, causing damage to our sacred mission and creating sense of insecurity thorough human rights abuses.
