Jammu: The Department of Education, Government College for Women, Parade Ground, Jammu Friday organized a Guest lecture on ‘Accountability and Professional Development of Teachers’.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hemla Aggarwal emphasized the need of organizing similar informative activities on regular intervals for holistic development of the students.
Dr. RituBakshi, Assistant Professor, Department of Educational Studies, School of Education, Central University of Jammu delivered an interactive lecture on the topic “Accountability and Professional Development of the teachers”. She stressed upon the need to revamp the professional accountability of teachers to meet the challenges of the 21st century. She also interacted with the students and discussed the noble teaching approaches i.e. Ethics, Code of Conduct, Accountability, Self Responsibility, Self Regulation and Academic Quality.
Earlier. Prof. Tabassum Ara, HOD, Department of Education highlighted the relevance of this informative talk for the benefit of the students. The Lecture was coordinated by Prof. Preeti Mahajan, Assistant Professor Education.The lecture was concluded by vote of thanks by Prof. Shivani Slathia.
