Div Com(K) reviews winter stock position,visits LPG bottling plant, FCI Godown

Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan Friday took stock of the availability of essential commodities and fuel in Kashmir division.

He visited the Bottling plant at Pampore wherein he directed the company representatives of different gas agencies to keep sufficient stock of the LPG cylinders. He was informed that the companies have more than 20 days of LPG stock available with them or in transit. The Div Com directed the IG Traffic and communicated with Deputy Commissioners of Udhampur and Ramban to ensure that all trucks carrying fuel and LPG are allowed to move on priority basis.

The Div Com also inspected the FCI Godown at Lethpora, where he was informed that the Godown is stocked with sufficient rice and wheat requirement in the division. The Div Com directed the officials to ensure that people do not suffer from any shortage.

The Div Com also visited the Sub-District Hospital Pampore and took stock of the facilities available at the hospital. He also interacted with the patients to know the availability of doctors, medicines and other facilities. He directed the officials to ensure that every employee attends to the duties with punctuality.

The Div Com later visited the Shalateng to review the snow clearance preparedness. He reviewed the working of the winter control rooms and directed that the control rooms should be operational 24 X 7. The Div Com also visited the Government Higher Secondary School Jawaharnagar where he inspected the heating arrangements and other facilities made for students.

The Div Com was accompanied by Director Education, Director FCS&CA and other officials.
