Thousands attend funeral prayers of two slain Hizb militants

Sopore: Thousands of people on Tuesday participated in the funeral prayers of slain Hizb ul Mujhaideen militant Toib Majeed Mir and his associate Ashiq Ahmed Bhat at their ancestral villages in Northern Kashmir Sopore and Pattan.
Toib and his another associate Ashiq Hussian bhat were killed in a shootout at Sultanpora Zachaldara village of Handwara Town north kashmir Kupwara District on monday late evening .
According to reports and eyewitnesses said that slain Toib’s body was carried by mourners from his home to a local ground where his funeral prayers was held.
Reports said Thousands of people participated in the last rites of Slain Brath Millitant’s Funeral and was laid to rest, Amid pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans raised.
Toib Majeed Mir son of Abdul Majeed Mir from Brath Kalan sopore joined militants ranks in 2016. He along with Aijaz Shiekh had gone missing in may 2016, Aijaz was killed in Gunfight at Nethipora earlier this year.
In Palhallan people in thousands participated in last rites of Slain Ashiq Hussain Bhat’s amid sloganeering he was laid to rest.
Ashiq Hussian Bhat was the last survive militant from Palhallan village.
Meanwhile authorities restored Internet services in northern part of kashmir which was snapped as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order following killing of two local Hibz militants.
