Jammu: Vice Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC), Sheikh Khalid Jehangir Monday convened a meeting to review the functioning of the Corporation and status of various developmental works undertaken by JKPCC.
The meeting was attended by Managing Director JKPCC, Nayeem Ahmad, all DGMs and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, the Vice Chairman felicitated the recently-appointed Managing Director for assuming charge. He stressed on the officers to expedite work on all developmental works so that their timely completion is ensured. He also asked them to ensure that the quality of works is not compromised with.
Khalid Jehangir stressed on improved coordination for achieving effective results on the ground.
He said time-bound completion of all the development projects is among the prime concern of the present dispensation and various steps have been taken in this regard like timely allocation of funds, and hassle-free clearance of projects. He said Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and Minister for Public Works, Naeem Akhtar have directed for completion of all the ongoing projects within the stipulated time.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chairman JKPCC directed the officers to allow sale and use of cement for construction purposes only after proper quality tests.
