Srinagar: Minister for State for Housing & Urban Development, Asiea Naqash Monday said the government is making concerted efforts to provide better road connectivity to the people in the State.

While reviewing the progress of under-construction roads and bridges in Hazratbal Constituency, Minister said the Government is focusing on developing infrastructure and provide better civic amenities to the people with special focus on improving road connectivity which is the backbone of the development.

The Minister was informed that the construction work on various roads including Gussoo-Shalnar road, Tailbal-Wangund Bridge and Shanpora Bridge is going on in full swing and will be completed within the given time.

The Minister directed engineers to speed up the pace of work and complete the projects before the onset of winters so that the commuters do not face any kind of difficulty during the cold season.

Asiea said these projects were a long pending demand of the local population as the completion of them would also enhance the economy of the area.

She further said the Government is committed to providing better road connectivity to the people so that all areas will become pillars in the economy graph of the state.

Chief Town Planner, Superintending Engineers & Executive Engineers of R&B and other concerned officers were present at this meeting.
