Srinagar/Nov,12: Denouncing the statement of Farooq Abdullah, wherein he has said that “Azadi is no option,”Hurriyat Conference(G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani asked him to revisit annals of history as he is speaking against the wishes and aspiration of people.
Geelani on Sunday strongly criticised Farooq Abdullah for his recent statement, saying that these power-hungry politicians always played deceit and added that these irresponsible and short-sighted people have always served the interests of their masters.

They are barefaced, follow their treacherous politics and never feel ashamed for their absurd statements, said Geelani and while blaming them for prevailing political uncertainty and chaos, said they should learn from history and see how their predecessors were humiliated and insulted by authorities in New Delhi.

Geelani while referring to history, advised Farooq Abdullah to see how his predecessors were forced to beg for Chief minister’s berth, after being sacked from Prime Ministers status.

It is an irony, said Geelani and expressed his surprise over his statement, saying that these politicians are still following their politics based on betrayal and deceit.

People are offering sacrifices to achieve their right to self-determination and not for their stale theories or so-called autonomy, said Geelani, saying that all these politicians are just slaves of their masters and parroting what they have been assigned and asked to do.

We are not pursuing power politics, said Geelani saying instead people are nourishing their sacred mission with blood and following genuine struggle for right to self-determination, Geelani Added.

Asking people to remain cautious about the conspiracies being hatched by these Delhi groomed henchmen, Geelani said that since our genuine voices are being acknowledged and our right to self-determination is being credited by international community, hence they feel desperate, irritated and nervous.

Haling people for their dedication and sense of sacrifice, pro-freedom leader said that people are determined and won’t succumb to pressure tactics and will pursue their mission till the right of self-determination is achieved.
