Central team discusses modalities for ensuring regular flow of Data

Jammu: A Central team headed by Sudha P. Rao Principal Advisor Horticulture, Directorate of Agriculture Cooperation and Farmers Welfare New Delhi chaired a meeting with Heads of the Department of Horticulture and allied sectors viz. Agriculture, Floriculture and Horticulture (P&M) in the Directorate of Horticulture Jammu regarding Systematic Mechanism for regular flow of data and setting up a schedule for the said purpose .

The chairperson gave a detailed account on the subject and appreciated the efforts being undertaken by the Department of Horticulture for the betterment of the farming community.

Secretary Horticulture Manzoor Ahmed Lone while speaking on the occasion highlighted the steps underway to promote horticulture sector and emphasized upon the concerned to ensure   timely submission of data.

Mamta Saxena Advisor Horticulture gave presentation on various issues related to Horticulture and Agriculture sector

Earlier the central team inspected Government Fruit Plants Nursery Vijaypur and Citrus orchard of  Bihari lal S/O  Thakur Dass, R/O Dug Channi Samba, where the team interacted with the farmers and took stock of the various developmental activities being carried out with the assistance from the Horticulture department.

The other officers who attended the said meeting were Mohd. Hussain Mir, Director Horticulture Kashmir (Mission Director),  Anuradha Gupta, Director Horticulture Jammu,  M.I. Qadri Director Horticulture (P&M), S. Tarvinder Singh Joint Director Horticulture Jammu,  B.K. Zutshi Joint Director Agriculture (Inputs) Jammu, Deputy. Director Floriculture, Jammu, and C. L. Sharma Chief Horticulture Officer Samba.
