Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Khadi Village Industries Board (KVIB) Thursday launched Entrepreneurs’ Selection Program to provide first generation entrepreneurs a forward pu
Under the program new entrepreneurs would be provided all possible hand holding support in terms of technical marketing in collaboration with established private houses/industries of the state.
The selection of the aspiring entrepreneurs shall be made in all districts under the supervision of concerned District Development Commissioners and monitored by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan along with Chairman KVIB Mansoor Soharwardhy and other officers of KVIB online.
“The process of choosing aspiring entrepreneurs shall be a game changer for tackling the unemployment in the state,” said Mansoor adding “The entire selection process shall be carried out in a single go to bring together the aspiring entrepreneurs/unemployed youth and private houses for creating new opportunities in Micro Industrial Sector in the state and build new partnerships and collaboration avenues.”
According to the officials, out of 62 aspiring candidates, 50 under were selected online under a special initiative of KVIB. The selectees include 10 candidates from Anantnag, nine from Baramulla and six from Pulwama. It was further stated that under PMEGP Scheme 745 were selected out of the target of 985 cases.
