Haji Anayat visits apricot village Hardass, listens to people’s issues

Kargil: Chairman Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali Thursday visited apricot village Hardass.

During the tour, the Chairman also listened to the grievances and demands of the people of the area and assured to redress of the same  in a phased manner.

The demands raised by the residents of Hardass Gond and adjoining areas included provision of funds for augmentation and repair works of Karkith- Hardass irrigation canal, early start of work on the lift water supply scheme proposed for the area, establishment of Primary Health Center, improvement and blacktopping of link road from NH-1 to Hardass Gond, establishment of Anganwadi center, allocation of funds for completion of the remaining works of community hall and playground and several other demands.

Interacting with the delegations, the chairman said the government is committed to equitable development of all regions of the state and special attention is being paid to raise the living standard of people living in the remote rural areas.

Haji Anayat Ali assured the delegations of timely redress of their issues and said he will personally pursue the issue of work on augmentation of Karkith-Hardass irrigation canal and lift water supply scheme. He also directed the engineers of I&FC and PWD department to keep him well informed about the DPR formation of these and for other requisite works in the area.

Meanwhile,  the Chairman directed the officers of Horticulture Department  to ensure adequate quantity of insecticides and pesticides made keep field staff and machinery in readiness for timely spraying of orchards.
