Jammu: Dineshwar Sharma, Special Representative of the Government of India for the Dialogue in Jammu and Kashmir, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here Thursday. He also called on Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh later in the day
Sharma is currently visiting the State and meeting representatives of different sections of society, student organizations, political parties, social and religious groups etc.
During his meeting with Govenor N N Vohra, the Kashmir Special Representative Sharma brief Governor about his talks with various individuals and groups in the Valley and the major concerns which had been voiced by those he had met on his first visit to Kashmir.Governor suggested to Sharma that, notwithstanding any initial reservations in some groups, he must sustain the Dialogue and hear one and all, particularly elements of the society who apparently held contrary convictions.
Later in the day Sharma briefed during his meeting with Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti briefed her about his visit to the State. He also informed her about his deliberations with various groups and individuals in the Valley.
Dineshwar Sharma , also called on Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh. Several issues related to the state of Jammu and Kashmir were discussed in detail.
