Shopian: Suspected militants on Saturday lobbed a grenade at a camp of Special Operations Group (SOG) in Imam Sahib area of Shopian in south Kashmir.
Reports said that the grenade was lobbed at the camp in Imam Sahab market.
Following the blast, the policemen fired few shots in the air. However, there was no report of any casualties.
Meanwhile, suspected militants attacked a police party outside Rajpora Police Station in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police official said that two cops sustained bullet injuries who were immediately shifted to hospital. The official identified the wounded cops as Munir Ahmed and Abdul Salam.
Shortly after the attack government forces cordoned off the area, however militants managed to escape from the spot. Reports said that youths pelted stones on the Forces during search operation.
