DC Kishtwar finalises Urs Shah Asrar-ud-Din Sahib arrangements

Kishtwar:  Deputy Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana Wednesday convened a meeting of all the district and sectoral officers of line departments to review the necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of Urs of Shah Asrar-Ud-Din Sahib (RA) scheduled for  November 10, 2017.

DC directed XEN PHE Division Kishtwar to ensure availability of sufficient drinking water for devotees at the shrines of Astan Bala, Astan Pani and other places.

EO Municipality was also directed to ensure repair and replacement of the non-functional street lights in the town and the adjoining areas of the shrines for hassle free movement of devotees, besides ensuring proper cleanliness  of both the shrines and lime lining of the roads leading to the shrines.

DC also passed on the direction to CEO Kishtwar Development Authority for speedy restoration of Street/ High Mass Lights installed around the Chowgan Ground and to repair the non-functional transformer without any delay, he added.

He also said proper management of Traffic and Parking should be made. It was revealed that for commercial vehicles ITI Ground and FCI godown premises have been identified for parking.

XEN PDD Kishtwar was directed to ensure un-interrupted Power Supply at both the shrines.

The DC also directed ensuring basic medical facilities at both the shrines, besides  ARTO Kishtwar was directed to ensure availability of adequate number of buses and other passenger vehicles for smooth to and fro movement of devotees during the Urs Mubarak.

Various other arrangements were also discussed in the meeting which includes temporary toilets, parking facility of passenger vehicles and establishment of control room.

SSP, CEO KDA,CPO, ACD,  ACR, CMO, Tehsildar Kishtwar, AD CA&PD, ARTO and other district and sectoral officers, Administrator Auqaf Islamia Kishtwar, besides prominent citizens also attended the meeting.
