Haq Khan inaugurates bridge at Gundisanah, inspects dev projects in Loalab constituency

Kupwara: Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Law & Justice, Abdul Haq along with officers and engineers Saturday conducted an extensive tour to different areas of Lolab constituency to inspect ongoing developmental projects there.

The Minister inaugurated Rs 75 lakh 1×12.OM span RCC Bridge over Nallah Hyhamma at Gundisanah.

During the visit, the Minister also interacted with several public deputations who apprised him of their issues and projected various demands. The Minister assured them that their genuine demands and issues would be looked into and resolved in a phased manner.

Later, the Minister attended the EDIs mega awareness camp as chief guest in which legislators S. A. Rashid, Bashir Ahmad Dar, Raja Manzoor Ahmad and District Development Commissioner Khalid Jahangir, CEO EDI, Dr.Majid  besides representatives of implementing agencies in the camp attended.

The camp was organized by EDI Srinagar in collaboration with the other implementing and sponsoring agencies associated with the EDI implementing schemes in the State.

Speaking on the occasion, Haq impressed upon all stakeholders to implement the schemes as per the guidelines of Union and State Governments so that unemployed youth of the district are benefitted.

He urged youth to come forward and avail the benefits of the welfare, developmental schemes launched by the present governments for overall development of the State through establishing their own income generating units.

The legislatures also asked EDI to more such awareness camps in the district for the benefit of the local youth.

The DDC assured the EDI authorities for providing the suitable accommodation in the district headquarter as their requirement. He also exhorted upon the aspirants to change their mindset so that the financial assistance to the income generated holders be utilized judiciously.

The CEO EDI highlighted the progress achieved by the Institute to impart training, monitoring and financing to young entrepreneurs under Skill Development and implementation of other schemes on the directions of Chief Minister for the eradication of poverty and unemployment from the state.
