Ganderbal: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari Friday convened meeting to take note of the braid chopping incidents in District Ganderbal.
He constituted District Level Committee under his Chairmanship with Additional Superintendent of Police Ganderbal, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal, and District Social Welfare Officer Ganderbal as members to monitor the braid chopping cases and for tight vigil in the District.
Bukhari directed the officers to constitute Tehsil Level Committees comprising of Tehsildar concerned, SHO concerned and Tehsil Social Welfare Officer for post traumatic counseling of the victi
He also directed the officers to frame village level committees comprising Patwari, VLW, Lambardar, Chowkidar, and Aanganwari workers for outreach to every village.
On the occasion Chief Medical Officer was asked to provide counsellors as and when required for post traumatic counselling of the victi
Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal requested the general public not to pay attention towards rumour mongers. He also requested the people not to take law in their own hands.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development Ganderbal, District Social Welfare Officer, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, and all Tehsildars of the District.
