Srinagar: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday condemned the killing of a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) worker in Shopian last night.
In a tweet, Mehbooba said “such dastardly acts can’t justify or achieve any political goal”. “I strongly condemn the killing of former Sarpanch Mr. Mohammad Ramzan and burning of his house at Humhuna Shopian,” tweeted Mehbooba. Ramzan was shot dead by militants last night at his home in Humhuna. A militant, according to police, was killed in a scuffle. He was identified as Showkat Falahi, a resident of Tranz village of the district.
