Jammu: Five members of a family were killed in a road accident in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, police said.
An official said that a car was on its way from Doda to Jatheli when it plunged into a gorge near Kashore, Babore area of Doda Monday evening. The vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge at 5:40pm and fell into a gorge.
Locals and police immediately reached at the spot and shifted all the passengers to District Hospital Doda, where doctors declared two of them as brought dead. Later, other three also succumbed. DySP Doda, Nazir Ahmed Ganai said all the five family members were declared brought dead by the doctors at Doda hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Bashir Ahmed Shah (45), son of Feroz Din Shah, his wife Fatima Begum (35), son Zia Bashir (14), and his daughters Shaika Bano (17) and Neelofar Bashir (19).The deceased were residents of Shiva Asthan, Doda
