Jammu: As a part of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) celebration week, an event of Wall painting was organised by BBBP District Task Force here at DC office complex. The students of the Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA) University of Jammu were invited to participate in the event. The program was inaugurated by DC Jammu, Rajeev Ranjan.
ADC, Kanta Devi, DPO ICDS, Jyoti Salathia, CPO G.L. Sharma, DSWO, Supriya Kohli were also present at the occasion. The students were given the theme “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao – The Daughters of New India” for painting.
The program concluded Friday and the participants were felicitated by DC.
The certificates and awards presented to the participants were sponsored by State Bank of India.
The art work of young painters was highly appreciated by the public. The students beautifully conveyed the message of Beti Bachao Beti Padho through medium of wall paintings.
The students who participated in the event were Meenakshi Kumari, Sanmeet Raina, Bharti Rani, Archana Sharma, Reema Malhotra, Nishika Sabharwal, Anjali Relia, Vishali Rani, Daljeet Kour, Vridhi Sharma, Iram Shareef, Priya Sharma, Risha Chib, Renu, Ajay Kumar. The faculty members Amarjeet Singh accompanied the students for the event.
