Baramulla: In connection with the Range Level Sports Festival being organized by the Police Department in collaboration with civil administration, a meeting was Saturday held with the Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Kashmir, V K Birdhi, in chair.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash, SSP Mir Imtiyaz Hussain, SE R&B, CMO, CEO and various other officers of police and civil administration.
It was informed that the festival will be organized for a period of 10 days, during which various sports events including cricket, volleyball, football and kho-kho will be organized at various district and provincial levels.
Threadbare discussions were held with respect to security, medical and various other arrangements in the meeting. It was stressed upon the concerned to coordinate among each other so as to make the event a grand success.
Speaking on the occasion, the DIG underlined the need for organizing such events and said such platforms positively channelize the potential of youth. He also urged the youth to come forward and participate in these festivals.
