Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan Monday convened a meeting to review draft plan for the construction of state-of-art mini secretariat building at old Bus terminal, Batamaloo.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Chief Engineer R&B, Chief Town Planner, Deputy Director Planning, officers of SDA, Engineers of R&B and other concerned officials were present in the meeting.

Divisional Commissioner said the Chief Minister announced recently that mini-secretariat building would be constructed at Batamaloo to ease the inconvenience of people as major government offices would operate from the same complex there.

He directed R&B, SDA and Chief Town Planner to jointly survey the area and prepare a DPR within 15 days so that the work on this prestigious project would start immediately.

State-of-art infrastructure like basement car parking, area beautification, parks, food courts, lifts facility, waiting room, CCTV cameras, round the clock security, bank facility, and other facilities would be part of the DPR,  Div Com said.

He further said all peripheral and district offices of the government will be relocated in this Mini Secretariat so that the inhabitants of the district will avail the hassle free services of around 50 government Departments with DC office under one roof besides traders of the area would also benefit from the same.
