Srinagar: Some people in Nundresh Colony of Bemina in the jurisdiction of police station Batamaloo Wednesday afternoon nabbed two suspected braid choppers.
After receiving information of the incident police immediately rushed to spot to arrest the suspects but people assembled in large number there and instead of handing over custody of culprits to the police, after beating them facilitated the escape of suspects from the spot.
In this regards case FIR 158/2017 was registered in Police Station Batamaloo & further investigation taken up.
Srinagar police has appealed general public to immediately bring all such incidents in notice of police & all suspects should b handed over to the concerned police for proper investigation of the alleged incidents.
