JRL calls for “TRC Chalo” to protest against braid chopping on Oct 14

Srinagar: Joint resistance camp led by Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Hurriyat(M) Chairman Mirwaiz Molvi Umar Farooq and JKLF Chairman Yasin Malik on Thursday decided to call state level public rally in TRC Polo View on October 14th.
In a joint statement JRL while laying stress on mass participation, said that people have been asked to register their protest against incessant incidents of braid chopping, attempts, altering and changing, history, culture, heritage and Muslim majority status of state, by authorities in New Delhi.
Referring to its importance and need to call public demonstration, the leadership said that the resistance movement is in its crucial stage as such it is pertinent to call and send a peaceful message to international community and urge them to facilitate legitimate right and right to self-determination pledged to subjugated people of state.
Braid chopping is an attack on dignity and a war weapon against women folk, said leadership and while asking people to stand against these devilish acts, added that it was decided to resent and resist against those elements including RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Nirmal Singh for their shameful and provocative statements, wherein they have pleaded for complete integration of state with Delhi, in a joint statement they added.
Referring to the character assassination campaign launched by NIA sleuths against resistance leadership, trader’s fraternity, lawyers, intellectual including student community, leadership said that New Delhi is all set to abolish state subject law incorporated in article 370 and challenging it in supreme court of India, saying it is a well thought out ploy, conspiracy and attack by state and union authorities against state’s specific & historical status, culture and its heritage.
In a fervent appeal to people, the JRL asked to illustrate strength by participating in protest demonstration and added that it is time to expose coalition partners including PDP and BJP for carrying brutal killings ,loot ,plunder, unabated arrests and urged people from Kupwara, Kernah, Uri, Poonch, Rajori, Kashtwar, Bhaderwah, Doda, Jammu, Banihal, Islamabad, Shopian, Baramulla, Bandipora, Ladakh, Kargil and other parts of state to stand and resent against nefarious designs and deceit played by Delhi authorities and demonstrate commitment with right to self-determination movement.
Resistant leadership particularly while appealing to youth asked to offer their services as volunteers and maintain discipline during said march towards Srinagar.
Meanwhile Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Dr. Muhammad Omar Farooq and Muhammad Yaseen Malik, called state-wide protests against braid chopping incidents, after Friday prayers.
Resistance leadership also urged people in Jammu, Poonch, Peer Panchal and Chenab Valley including people in Azad Kashmir to hold peaceful demonstrations against braid chopping incidents and attacks on women’s dignity.
