Srinagat/Oct,5: Police in a statement here on Thursday [contact-form][contact-field label=”Name” type=”name” required=”true” /][contact-field label=”Email” type=”email” required=”true” /][contact-field label=”Website” type=”url” /][contact-field label=”Message” type=”textarea” /][/contact-formsaid that top Hizb-ul-Mujahideen commander Riyaz Naikoo killed the Head Constable Ashiq Hussain in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Superintendent of Police Awantipora Mohammad Zahid Malik said that Naikoo and his associates were involved in killing of Hussain in Padgampora village of the district.
He said that fifteen people have been detained in connection with the killing.
Hussain, who was working as ‘Munshi’ at Awantipora police station, was shot dead when he was attending the marriage ceremony of his close relative on Monday night.
His killing took place barely a week after gunmen shot dead an off-duty BSF soldier in Parrey Mohalla area of Hajin in Bandipora district of north Kashmir
