Naeem visits injured father of Rameez Parrey at JVC

Srinagar: Minister for Public Works Naeem Akhtar Friday visited the Ghulam Ahmad Parrey the injured father of Rameez Ahmad Parrey, the BSF person who was killed during a attack at his home in Hajin recently.

The Minister interacted with doctors and was informed about the situation of the injured person. The doctors informed the Minister that the condition of  Parrey is stable and fast improving. The other injured persons have already been discharged from the hospital. The Minister directed the doctors to ensure that  Parrey regains his health in shortest possible time. He said the Chief Minister has been shocked at the attack in which an 80 year old elderly person was injured besides resulting in killing of a young man.

Earlier the Minster while accompanied by MLC Yasir Reshi, Chief Engineer R&B and other officials visited different areas of Sonawari constituency. The Minister visited Tregam, Gundkhalil, Shadipora and other areas where he inspected the works and interacted with people.

While addressing a he gathering, the Minister said such acts of violence won’t break the resolve of government to provide basic amenities and develop the existing facilities uniformly across all regions. The Minister expressed his satisfaction at various works including road building and construction of other buildings. He said for the first time government has done away with old development model by virtue of which many areas used to be left out of progress. He said now government is uniformly developing every area in every nook and corner of the state.

The Minister said enemies of peace won’t succeed and if the peaceful situation continues the state is set into a new era of prosperity. He said it is for everybody to see how much work has been accomplished in the last four months as the government got a chance to work in a peaceful atmosphere. He said public assets have been created at a record pace during this time and their is brisk construction activity everywhere with every project given a deadline for completion. The Minister said the development will get further boost as new projects under ADB and World Bank are rolled out soon.
