Jammu: Socio-religious organization Jammu Muslim Front Monday alleged that during the commemoration of birth anniversary of autocratic ruler Maharaja Hari Singh, pistols and naked swords were displayed to create fear among minorities in Jammu.
Pertinently, to commemorate the birth anniversary of former Jammu and Kashmir ruler Maharaja Hari Singh, meetings and celebrations were observed across Jammu.
“People were shocked to see the supporters of Maharaja brandishing weapons in open. They waved pistols, guns and swords, creating fear psychosis among people particularly Muslims who are in minority in two and a half districts of Jammu,” Chairman Jammu Muslim Front Qazi Imran said.
“We demand a thorough probe into these incidents. We fail to understand how come these people were allowed to display weapons openly,” Shujah Zafar, the president of Front said.
