Srinagar: Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Tuesday chaired a meeting regarding providing of accommodation to Kashmiri Migrant teachers appointed under PM’s Package.
The meeting was attended by Director Estates, Tassaduq Jeelani, Director School Education Kashmir, Dr G.N Itoo, Additional Secretary School Education, Mussarat-ul-Islam, CEO Anantnag, other concerned officials and a group of Migrant teachers.
The Minister issued an on spot direction to Director Estates for providing accommodation to all those teachers of district Pulwama and Shopian who re-joined the department after having left valley in the aftermath of 2016 unrest. The Minister said special care will be taken of all teachers in general and particularly those who have brought families along with them too.
On the occasion, the teachers raised certain issues including demand of held salaries, to which Bukhari promised to examine the issue and promised an appropriate action according to rules.
