Kabul: At least five civilians were injured in a suicide car bombing that targeted foreign troops in the Afghan capital Kabul on Sunday, an official said.
According to Anadolu Agency, Mohammad Sadique Murady, commander of the Afghan National Police’s Asmaye Zone, said that the incident took place when a suicide bomber rammed explosive-laden vehicle into an armored convoy of Danish troops.
According to the NATO-led Resolute Support Mission (RSM), no casualties have been reported among its members.
“An improvised explosive device targeted a NATO convoy this morning in Kabul,” the RSM said in a statement released on the social media, adding a team from the RSM is on the scene to recover the vehicle.
The Taliban have claimed the attack.
