Banihal: Police on Friday claimed that it arrested two youth involved in an attack on SSB party near Banihal tunnel. The attack that was carried out on Wednesday night had left a Head Constable dead while an Assistant Sub Inspector was wounded.
A police official said two youth were arrested in a Joint Operation. He identified the arrested youth as Gazanfar Iqbal Khan and Arif Wani. He added that third accused Aquib Waheed is still at large and hunt has been launched to trace him.
Two youth allegedly involved in an attack on SSB party near Banihal tunnel were arrested by police and army in a joint night raid along with snatched weapons, an official said Friday.
“Two service rifles, including an AK assault rifle and an Insas rifle, which were snatched during the attack, were also recovered from their possession,” he said.
