Srinagar: Asserting that the Centre is ready to hold dialogue with all stakeholders without any pre-conditions, BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav said that complete normalcy will be restored in Kashmir if the Opposition ‘doesn’t engage in political game of provocation’.
“I am confident that normalcy will be restored in the valley very soon. If the opposition parties also cooperate with us and don’t engage in political game of provocation very soon we will see complete normalcy in the state,” Mr Madhav, who arrived in Srinagar, told reporters here Thursday.
“Our doors are open to all the stakeholders in the state. They are welcome to come and have a dialogue with the state government as well as whoever wants to talk to the Central government. We are open to dialogue. But the question should be asked to those who don’t want to go for the dialogue. As far as center is concerned, we are ready to hold dialogue without any preconditions,” he added.
Asserting that the PDP-BJP coalition government is working for the development of the state, he said due to the efforts by the centre and state forces the militancy is on a decline. “Although there are occasional incidents, we would like to see total normalcy in the state. People of the state have suffered enough, now it is time the government focuses on developmental issues. We are committed to give good governance to the people,” the BJP National General Secretary said.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Na goli se, na gaali se, Kashmir ki samasya suljhegi gale lagaane se’ comment made during his Independence speech from Red Fort, Mr Madhav said that is the way forward to restore peace and normalcy in the valley.
Meanwhile, lashing out at Pakistan for frequent ceasefire violations and infiltration along the border and Line of Control (LoC) in the state, he said the security forces will ensure that our neighbour will not succeed in the games they are playing.
