SRINAGAR/Sept,21:General of Police (DGP) SP Vaid on Thursday clarified that he never said that Works Minister Naeem Akhtar was the target of Tral grenade attack.
“I said that motorcade of any VIP could be the target,” he said.
Earlier, a Mumbai-based TV channel had reported that Akhtar was the target of the attack that took place around noon today.
“Minister Naeem Akhtar was the target of the Tral attack, he has now been taken to a safe location,” the TV channel had quoted Vaid as saying.
