Srinagar: Director General of Police S P Vaid on Monday said that the sports activities festivals started by the Jammu and Kashmir Police are aimed at bringing the “lost smile back on the faces of Kashmir children” and to keep them away from drug abuse and guns.
“Police is trying its best to engage children in various sports related activities,” Vaid told reporters on the sidelines of sports function, Jashn-e-Dal at Nehru Park here. He said the main aim was to bring back the lost smile on their faces.
“We want to keep these children away drugs and gun so that they live a peaceful life and achieve their goals,” said Vaid after inaugurating Jashn-e-Dal and Shikara race.
