The public trial of BJP ministers after the meeting of public deputations with the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on charges of poor showing signals a marked shift in the approach of the central leadership which is consistently focusing only on controversies over contentious issues. For the first time some public representatives of Jammu have brought to the notice of the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh the failures of BJP ministers in the conduct of even routine business of the departments portfolios of which are held by them. So for the BJP ministers have been evading queries over their failures in the conduct of their routine business of their concerned department but now people in Jammu have woke up from deep slumber and complained against the dismal performance of the BJP Minister. The BJP high command’s serious response was the deputation of party’s top leader Ram Lal to Jammu and Srinagar for on spot assessment of the performance of the incumbent BJP ministers. Interestingly Ram Lal not only interacted with party functionaries in Srinagar and Jammu but also called on Governor N N Vohra to get an impartial feedback about the working of BJP ministers. The BJP central leadership itself aware of the public welfare issues in its political bastion Jammu can’t remain a mute spectator to the dismal functioning of the ministers of its own party the time when hardly over a dozen months are left. Knowing that dismissing complaints of the BJP ministers on delivery of public services won’t be less than a political suicide for the party the central BJP leadership has deputed a veteran leader of the party for the on spot assessment about the performance of its own party’s minister in the lager interests of the party.

To regain the lost ground in its strong bastion Jammu it has become imperative for the party’s central leadership to tell in unambiguous terms to the state BJP leadership to concentrate only on deliverance and leave the contentious issues to the central leadership to address.

How could someone dismiss complaints against the minister when it comes to delivery of services to the people. The BJP ministers can’t dispel the impression that their poor showing on the group granted enough space to the two main opposition parties Congress and National Conference to build up an anti-BJP slant slowly and it is also an undeniable fact that the state BJP leaders holding key party position in the state are playing into the hands of their party minister on petty concessions in matters of the transfers of lower rung officials and appointment of class IV employees in different departments. To regain the lost ground in its strong bastion Jammu it has become imperative for the party’s central leadership to tell in unambiguous terms to the state BJP leadership to concentrate only on deliverance and leave the contentious issues to the central leadership to address.
