Srinagar: The Regional Red Cross Branch Kashmir Saturday organized a voluntary blood donation camp in collaboration with various foundations at LD Hospital Srinagar.
The camp was inaugurated by Chairman Private School Association J&K G N Var who was also the chief guest on the occasion.
More than 60 donors donated their blood voluntarily in the camp including Shabir Hussain, senior life member, volunteer Red Cross (Blood man of Kashmir) who is renowned blood donor donated 156th point in the camp and Mohammad Younis another Red Cross volunteer donated 34th blood point in the camp.
It was informed on the occasion that the blood which was collected is stored with the transfusion department and will be utilized for emergency cases.
