Srinagar: J&K Bank Saturday nominated its football team for participation in the ongoing Mufti Mohammad Syed Memorial Football Tournament at Polo ground Srinagar. The Team shall play its first game in the premiere league on 20th September.
Confirming the participation, spokesperson of the Bank while quoting Chairman and CEO Parvez Ahmed said that as desired by the Chief Minister, the team had been temporarily revived to ensure participation in the ongoing tournament.
He further informed that the bank was fully committed to overhaul the sports infrastructure of the bank besides nourishing professionalism in the governance of the sports activities.
“A proper Sports culture is essential to nourish the talent and reap its long term benefits”, spokesperson said while quoting Chairman and CEO of the Bank.
Meanwhile, Chairman has already conveyed instructions for preparing comprehensive plan for supporting various sports activities through infra-structural and other support to the deserving.
