Srinagar: Ridiculing the dubious role played by pro-Indian political parties, including National Conference, Congress, PDP and others during the recent people’s uprising against the abrogation of Article 35-A and 370, chairman Hurriyat Conference(G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani in a statement issued here on Wednesday said that it was expected from them and that such political parties were responsible for the present grim situation in the state as far as the Muslim majority character of the state is concerned.
Commenting over the statement of Home minister of India about article 35 A, Geelani said that pro-Indian parties in state have virtually submitted an intentional surrender and their all parroting proved hoax and a pre-planned drama is being enacted by these parties.
Geelani added that their hue and cry was just a mockery to retain and grab power corridors.
Geelani blamed pro-Indian parties for exploiting sentiments of innocent people and while calling these political leaders as double dealers, said that since last seven decades the subjugated people are suffering because of their hypocritical behaviour.
Cautioning people about their deceit, the pro-freedom leader appealed the common people not to fall in line of these political hypocrites and be steadfast and serious about the sacred freedom movement for which whole the nation has offered innumerable sacrifices.
Denouncing the arbitrary approach of NIA and state government against pro-freedom people , i said that pro-freedom leaders were either unlawfully detained in Tihar jail or summoned by NIA and added their residences are being raided to create scare and harassment .
Hailing the sacrifices of Aasiya Andrabi and Sofi Fahmeeda Geelani said that they created laudable history and we salute them for their steadfastness, persistence & commitment”.
Geelani said “India’s judiciary has failed to bring justice to these brave ladies despite they were repeatedly bailed out by concerned courts”.
