Srinagar: Shop-allotment committee meeting for the shopkeepers of Batamaloo-Qamarwari road, affected due to the widening process, was held Tuesday under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan.
The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Superintending Engineer R&B, Deputy Director Planning, Officers from SMC, representatives of dislocated shopkeepers and shop-owners and other concerned officials were present in the meeting.
The meeting was informed that ERA had constructed a shopping complex in Rambagh and it was handed over to SMC for the allotment of shops to the bonafide shopkeepers whose cases have been finalized by the High Level Committee (HLC).
It was further informed that 35 shops were affected due to the widening of Batamaloo-Qamarwari road. In the previous shop-allotment committee meeting, 12 shops were already allotted to the dislocated shopkeepers.
Tuesday, the shop-allotment committee allotted the remaining 23 shops to the dislocated shopkeepers of Batamaloo-Qamarwari road.
The Divisional Commissioner also directed all the shopkeepers to bring the NoC (no objection certificate) from the R&B and submit to SMC for the issuance of formal orders of allotment of shops.
