Srinagar: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik was on Friday arrested along with zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri and was immediately shifted to central jail Srinagar, spokesman said.
According to the statement issued to KNS, a large contingent of police today raided the office of JKLF and arrested Yasin and others.
Prior to his arrest, JKLF chairman talked to media person and said that it used to be a common practice of even worst type of tyrant rulers used to release inmates at the eve of Eid’s and other festivals but new kind of tyrants and oppressors take pleasure from arresting people on these very days.
He said that yesterday an ailing lady Asiya Andrabi was dragged out of hospital and shifted to Jammu jail which shows the ugly tyrant behavior of these new pseudo-democratic oppressors.
JKLF chairman said that thousands of young and old, from a 10 year old boy to 80 year old man are languishing in jails.
“Many of these inmates have been serving consecutive PSA’s and as soon as PSA slapped on them expires or are quashed by courts; a new PSA order is served to them,” he said.
Malik said that these atrocities are being committed on Kashmiris to scare them so that resistance against illegal occupation is weakened and defeated.
JKLF chairman said that from Tihar jail where many resistance leaders arrested by NIA are languishing to jails in Jammu Kashmir, Kashmiris are being tortured terrorized, demonized and subjected to state sponsored terrorism of worst kind. All this inhuman oppression is being done under the garb of so-called democracy and peace that too without any shame, added JKLF chairman.
He said it has been a common practice of occupational forces to arrest and stop political activities but the way people are being jailed under black laws actually shows that ruling regime only knows to suppress peaceful voices by military might, asserted Yasin Malik. While condemning the prolonged incarceration of these thousands of Kashmiris who are languishing in different jails and police stations of Jammu Kashmir and India, JKLF chairman said that tyranny and oppression has its limits and according to the law of retribution, tyrants and oppressors will surely have to answer for their crimes against humanity.
He said that oppressors must remember that oppression has its limits and in the battle between truth and falsehood and illegal occupation and freedom, it is the oppressed that get triumph at the end. (KNS)
