Srinagar: The Government Monday constituted a Group of Ministers, to examine the proposal submitted by the Forest, Ecology & Environment Department to the Cabinet regarding accord of administrative approval and acceptance of the tender for execution of work
for dredging and strengthening embankment of Wullar Lake besides removal and grubbing of willow and other undesirable tree species from it and its feeder channels under the Comprehensive Management Action Plan, 2007.
To be headed by Minister for Forest, Ecology & Environment, the members of the GoM include Minister for Social Welfare, Minister for Youth Services, Sports & IT, Minister for Education, Minister for Finance, Labour & Employment, Minister for Cooperative and Ladakh Affairs and Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control.
