Srinagar: Minister of State for Hajj and Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi felicitated people on the occasion of Urs Ameer-i-Kabeer Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA), popularly known as Shah-e-Hamdan, being observed in Kashmir on Tuesday.
In his message, Andrabi said Shah-e-Hamdaan (RA) uplifted Kashmiri people morally, spiritually, and economically. Through propagation of Islamic teachings, he brought prosperity, stability and tranquility for the first time in the Valley.
The Minister further said Shah-e-Hamdan’s teachings are more significant in Monday’s world and every person must follow the same so that peace, brotherhood, and amity prevails.
Andrabi directed Wakf Board to provide all the necessary arrangements to the devotees and ensure cleanliness in and around the Shah-e-Hamdan shrine which is thronged by a large number of people on Urs days.
