Srinagar: On the directions of Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat, a meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Project Director, J&K State AIDS Control Society (JKSACS), who is the Nodal Officer for the Play for Health program, for finalizing the necessary arrangements for opening ceremony of the upcoming Football League Tournament to be organized by the Society.
The meeting was attended by the representatives from various departments including Joint Secretary Sports Council, members from J&K Football Association and Physical Directors of all the Degree Colleges of the State.
The meeting decided that the opening ceremony of the Tournament, with Khelo Sehat Ke Liye – Play for Health slogan, will be held on August 30, 2017, at 11 am at TRC Synthetic Turf Football Stadium.
It was informed that the opening ceremony will be followed by inaugural football match in which the Minster for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat, will be the chief guest and Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari, will be the guest of honour.
It was also decided that the rest of the matches will be held at the District Headquarters of the State.
The arrangements for the tournament will be made by the J&K Football Association in collaboration with Department of Health and Medical Education, Department of Higher Education, J&K Sports Council, National Health Mission and J&K State AIDS Control Society.
