Transparent, accountable admin, priority of Govt: Veeri

Budgam: Minister for Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Abdul Rehman Veeri Tuesday said transparent and accountable administration is the priority of the government.

The Minister said while addressing a gathering after inauguration of Revenue Complex Khansahib Budgam. The Minister was accompanied by Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, MLC  Saifudin Bhat.  Deputy Commissioner Budgam Haroon Malik, SSP Bandipora, SDM Khansahib, Supritending Engineer R&B Budgam and other officers of Revenue were also present on the occasion.

The Revenue Complex constructed at a cost of Rs 2.18 crore will house Tehildars room, SDM office, court Room, record room, Naib Tehsildars room, Patwari room and other important offices of Revenue department.

Veeri said Government is committed to bring development at the doorsteps of the people. He said infrastructural aim of the infrastructure build up in the rural areas is aimed to provide succor to the common man.

The Minister impressed upon the officers to seek periodical reports from field officials on timely land mutations in their respective areas.

“Land mutations should not be a cumbersome process for public. Revenue officials should facilitate the process effectively while Deputy Commissioners and SDMs should take periodical review of land mutation process in their respective areas to avoid unnecessary pendency of cases at any level,” he said.

Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura  on the occasion also said present dispensation is committed to holistic development of J&K with emphasis on socio-economic empowerment of the people.

He also said government is endeavoring hard for the State’s sustained development by laying special thrust on improving socio-economic profile of the people especially living in far flung areas.

The Deputy Commissioner Budgam assured the Minister that Administration is working hard to realize the developmental goals of the Government.
