Baramulla: A week long Cocoon auction market, organized by Sericulture Department Baramulla was Saturday concluded at Zandfaran Baramulla which marked the overwhelming response of about 700 silkworm rearers from different areas of the district. Moreover about 50 buyers from different states of the country also visited the market to purchase the cocoon.
On the occasion, the Deputy Director Sericulture Department Baramulla said sericulture sector has a wide potential of creating employment avenues besides stressing upon the need to create awareness among the masses.
