Kupwara: A man was killed and four others injured when a mosque wall collapsed during its dismantling in Lolab area of Kupwara district in north Kashmir.
Reports and eyewitnesses said locals of Mir Mohalla were dismantling the mosque when one of its walls collapsed.
Five persons got trapped under the wall, they said, adding that they were rescued and shifted to a nearby hospital where one of them was declared dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Mir, son of Habibullah Mir.
Station House Officer (SHO) Kuligam while confirming the death told GNS that they are investigating the incident.
