Jammu: As a part of Independence Day celebrations, Department of Information and Public Relations in collaboration with Academy of Art, Languages and Culture, organized Sham-e-Ghazal here at Abhinav Theatre.
Director Information and Public Relations, Muneer-ul-Islam, Joint Director Information Jammu, Manisha Sarin and other senior offices of the department were present on the occasion.

Dhrishti Bhagat, Harpriya Gupta, Sanvi Anand, Sushmita Banerjee , Subham Banerjee , Simranjeet Singh, Azad Kumar, Surinder Kumar , Sooraj Sharma, Neena Kour were among the artists who performed in programme.
Artists from Information Department, Jeevan Sharma, Bunty Kumar, Yashpaul, Kamal Kumar, Vijay Anand, Mukesh Kumar, Suresh, Bodh Raj and Amit also made their valuable contribution to make the musical evening a memorable one.
Appreciating the department’s initiative for providing platform to budding talent, Director Information and Public Relations, Muneer-ul-Islam said that J&K has a lot of artistic potential and more such events will be organized by the department to encourage the artists. He congratulated the winners and wished them a successful career in their respective fields.
As a part of series of programme organized by DIPR to celebrate the Independence Day, a Photo-Exhibition was also organized today at Kala Kendra, Jammu.
